When Iâm designing a retreat, I try to imagine visiting an area for the first time. What would I want to see? Where would I want to go? What experiences would best represent the region weâre visiting?
Well lucky you, because I have experienced Ischia...not once, but TEN times!Â
That's right, Ischia is truly my favorite island in Italy so I keep going back. Each time I visit, I discover new places to explore. I make friends with locals, who share their secrets, like which restaurants are the best, where to find the deals, and so much moreâŚall a huge plus when visiting a foreign destination.
So rest assured that you are in good hands. I have created an itinerary that incorporates spas, nature, history, architecture, water, culture, adventure, shopping, dining and more. Itâs definitely going to be an unforgettable experience. EeekâŚ.I canât wait!!!
Delectable Cuisine
Ischia boasts a rich and delightful cuisine that reflects its coastal heritage and influences from nearby regions. The island's culinary offerings feature the freshest seafood, locally grown produce and savory pasta dishes.
Youâll have the opportunity to sample Linguine alle Vongole, made with fresh tomatoes and clams as well as a variety of mouthwatering pizzas, crafted with locally produced cheeses and sun-ripened tomatoes. Another local favorite is Coniglio all' Ischitana, a tender rabbit stew simmered in white wine and herbs.
Your sweet tooth will delight in the array of pastries and desserts, such as Pastiera Napoletana, a sweet ricotta and grain pie, and Lingue di Procida, a light, crunchy biscuit that pairs perfectly with limoncello, the islandâs signature liqueur.
To complement these epicurean treats, the area's vineyards produce a range of excellent wines that thrive in the volcanic soil. I told you you wouldn't go hungry! Are you salivating yet?
Plenty of Pampering
The island of Ischia is overflowing with natural thermal springs that have been renowned for their healing properties since ancient times.
One of my favorite Ischia oasis is Negombo Terme. This incredible "spa park" is set on the mountainside and surrounded by lush gardens. Iâve booked everyone a relaxing massage during our time at the park.
But that's not the only spa park we'll visit! We're also headed to Poseidon Terme, overlooking the sea with over 20 pools of various temperatures. During this visit, everyone will enjoy the most relaxing facials you'll ever experience.

Bountiful Shopping
A trip to the islands of Italy wouldnât be complete without a little retail therapy. In Ischia, there will be several occasions where you can wander through charming boutique shops selling local ceramics, artisanal products, and traditional clothing.
Capri, with its glamorous reputation, offers a more upscale shopping scene. Stroll along the fashionable Via Camerelle and Via Vittorio Emanuele, lined with high-end designer boutiques and elegant jewelry stores.
From colorful sundresses to exquisite leather goods and handmade sandals, shopping in Ischia and Capri is an unforgettable adventure, capturing the essence of Italian elegance and coastal allure.

Day 1: Sunday, September 14th
Your Island Adventure Begins
Arrive in Naples, Italy, where youâll be greeted by your private driver. From there, youâll journey to the ferry port for a scenic sail to the enchanting island of Ischia. Upon arrival, weâll transfer you to our charming hillside hotel, where the beautiful sea views and the dramatic backdrop of a volcano will immediately transport you to paradise. This family-owned gem offers a warm, welcoming atmosphere perfect for unwinding.
Once youâve settled into your room and enjoyed a well-deserved rest, weâll come together for a sumptuous welcome dinner on the rooftop. Itâs the perfect setting to meet your fellow retreat participants and go over the exciting itinerary for the week ahead.

Day 2: Monday, September 15th
Exploring Ischia Ponte & Castello Aragonese
After a delicious breakfast buffet, weâll set off for the charming town of Ischia Ponte, where history, beauty, and stunning sea views come together in perfect harmony. Our private guide will lead us through this captivating village, sharing fascinating stories as we make our way to the iconic Castello Aragonese d'Ischia.
As we cross the picturesque stone bridge, weâll enter the ancient castle, uncovering hidden passages, lush gardens, and towering fortifications. The castleâs rich history will come to life as we explore its grounds, and be sure to pause and take in the breathtaking panoramic views of the sparkling Tyrrhenian Sea and the picturesque village of Ischia Ponte.
Afterward, youâll have time to wander the streets of Ischia Ponteâan enchanting village with a vibrant local vibe. Enjoy lunch at one of the many seaside restaurants before we return to our spa hotel for a well-deserved rest.
Once back at the hotel, grab your towel and head to the rooftop pool or indulge in a relaxing experience in the spa. Later, weâll gather for a lively group dinner, reflecting on our adventures as we settle in for a peaceful evening.

Day 3: Tuesday, September 16th
Day 3: A Day of Relaxation â Gardens, Thermal Pools & Beach Bliss
Pack your beach bag and grab your sunscreen because we're heading out to our first spa adventure! đŚđż
We'll start this relaxing day wandering through Giardini La Mortella, the spectacular sub tropical and Mediterranean garden created in 1956 by Susana Walton, the wife of English composer, Sir William Walton.
Youâll marvel at dramatic volcanic rock formations, exotic plants and breathtaking views of the bay of Forio.
From there we'll head to Negombo Terme, with 22 acres of thermal, mineral-rich pools, cascading waterfalls and sweeping sea views, all designed to rejuvenate the mind, body, and soul.
Youâll have hours to explore the lush tropical gardens, enjoy the soothing sounds of nature and relax in the sun's warm embrace.
Enjoy a tranquil massage in the onsite spa or grab a cool tropical drink and venture down to the private beach. The soft sands and gentle waves will beckon you to further unwind and let go.
After we've had our fill of sunshine and healing mineral waters, we'll head back to our hotel for dinner. An incredible day indeed! đ

Day 4: Wednesday, September 17th
Capri Adventure â Iconic Sights, Stunning Views & Charming Streets
Get ready for an unforgettable adventure as we set sail by ferry to the enchanting island of Capri, where sparkling azure waters meet stunning cliffs, creating a landscape thatâs as timeless as it is breathtaking.
Weâll begin our day with a leisurely stroll through the charming streets of Capri Town, where boutique shops, quaint cafes, and winding alleys invite you to explore.
Next, weâll head to the Gardens of Augustus, offering panoramic views of the rugged coastline and lush Mediterranean flora. The scenery here is simply mesmerizing â a perfect spot for photos!
From there, weâll make our way to Anacapri, a serene village perched high above the island. Its slower pace and incredible vistas provide a peaceful retreat from the busier streets below. For the ultimate experience, weâll take the chairlift to the top of Mount Solaro, where the 360-degree view will leave you speechless.
Youâll have free time to explore Anacapriâs streets, enjoy a delicious lunch, and shop for unique souvenirs in its boutique stores before we head back to the port.
After our return to Ischia, unwind with a relaxed dinner at the hotel, followed by a quiet evening floating in the healing spa waters.

Day 5: Thursday, September 18th
A Relaxing Morning, a Wine Tasting Adventure & Exploring Forio
Start your day with a leisurely, free morning at the hotel, giving you the perfect opportunity to unwind, enjoy the tranquil surroundings, or perhaps take a dip in the pool.
Then weâll embark on a unique excursion to a mountainside winery, where youâll indulge in a tasting of local wines, expertly paired with a light lunch. The stunning vineyard views and the delicious flavors of Ischiaâs wines will create a truly memorable experience.
Afterward, weâll head to Forio, a charming town filled with quaint shops, beautiful architecture, and vibrant local life. Youâll have plenty of time to explore and shop, soaking in the sights and sounds of this picturesque destination.
The evening will be yours to enjoy at your own pace, with free time to head to Lacco Ameno for dinner and shopping in the townâs delightful boutiques.

Day 6: Friday, September 19th
Island Escape â Boat Cruise, Seaside Charm & Sunset Toasts
Are you ready for another amazing day? After breakfast, weâll head to Ischia Porto to climb aboard our very own vessel, the Andor.
Once aboard this elegant and spacious Ischia-built vessel, we will circumnavigate the island, stopping for snacks and swim breaks along the way.
We'll hop off in Sant' Angelo, a delightful little village nestled on the southern coast. This picture-worthy destination will captivate you with its pedestrian-only streets, quaint shops and bustling harbor. You'll have time to explore and grab lunch in one of the picturesque seaside restaurants.Â
As the sun slips into the sea, weâll enjoy a Prosecco toast in the shadows of Castello Aragonese before returning to port. Freshen up and join the group for another delicious dinner at the hotel, followed by star-gazing on the rooftop or a relaxing soak in the spa. Iâm confident this day will forever hold place in your heart as one of your best memories of Italy!

Day 7: Saturday, September 20th
Serenity and Celebration â Unwind and Dance the Night Away
After another delicious breakfast buffet, we'll head to Poseidon Terme, one of Ischiaâs most renowned thermal spas. With its 20 thermal pools, lush gardens, and breathtaking sea views, itâs the perfect place to relax and rejuvenate. Spend the afternoon soaking in the healing waters and indulging in a luxurious facial or body treatment, allowing the soothing energy of the island to melt away any tension and rejuvenate your spirit.
Once we return to the hotel, youâll have some free time to pack and prepare for the journey ahead. As the evening unfolds, weâll come together for a lively rooftop party, featuring a DJ to set the mood, followed by a farewell dinner filled with delicious food, music, and dancing. Iâm confident this day will forever hold place in your heart as one of your best memories of Italy!

Day 8: Sunday, September 21st
A Fond Farewell â Until We Meet AgainÂ
Today is the day you start your journey back to the ârealâ world. Weâll gather at breakfast for our final farewells before you take the ferry back to Naples for your onward journey. If youâve chosen to extend your stay in Italy, Iâll be happy to offer suggestions on where to explore next.Â
While itâs always sad to say goodbye, this isnât the end of our time together. Weâll see each other in our private Facebook group to share photos and stories. Youâll have made unforgettable memories and some new friends to help remind you that life is short so never ever stop exploring!
