Day 1: Thursday, May 8th

 Arrive in Milan by plane or train, where you'll be warmly greeted and escorted to our private van. From there, enjoy a scenic ride with the group to the picturesque village of Camogli, nestled along the sparkling Ligurian Coast.

Upon arrival, we’ll check into our stunning seaside hotel, a perfect blend of elegance and relaxation. Take time to settle into your room and soak in the breathtaking coastal views. Since today is a bonus day, the pace is yours to set. Unwind in the tranquil surroundings, explore the hotel’s beautiful grounds, or take a leisurely stroll along the charming boardwalk lined with cafes and shops.

Whether you choose to rest or wander, this is your time to ease into the magic of Italy and prepare for the exciting journey ahead!

Day 2: Friday, May 9th

After a restful night and a chance to embrace the relaxed rhythm of the Italian way of life, our journey officially begins. Start your day with an incredible breakfast buffet featuring sweeping views of the sea. Spend the rest of the morning as you please: relax by the pool, unwind on the private beach, or indulge in a luxurious spa treatment.

In the afternoon, I’ll guide you through the charming town, unveiling its hidden gems and immersing you in its unique character. It’s the perfect introduction to the magic of this destination.

As the sun sets, we’ll gather for a lavish welcome dinner, a celebration that sets the tone for the days ahead. Together, we’ll review the itinerary for our upcoming adventure and take time to connect, share stories, and set our intentions for this special journey.

Tonight is all about rediscovering the spirit of exploration and renewal. Be sure to get a good night’s sleep—you’ll want to be fully refreshed for tomorrow’s big adventure!

Day 3: Saturday, May 10th

After we’ve had our fill of another bountiful breakfast buffet, we’ll board a ferry for the Abbey of San Fruttuoso. Nestled in a secluded bay accessible only by boat or foot, we'll explore this picturesque complex features a historic monastery, an ancient watchtower, and pebbled beaches.

Next, we’ll hop aboard another ferry and sail to the glamorous town of Portofino. Known as a playground for the rich and famous, this chic harbor offers the perfect spot for a leisurely lunch with stunning views. Whether you prefer to indulge in a little high-end boutique shopping or a scenic hike up to Castello Brown—a 16th-century fortress boasting panoramic views of the town and the Ligurian Sea—you’ll have plenty of time to soak in the charm of this iconic destination.

As the afternoon winds down, we’ll make our way by boat to Santa Margherita, the sea-splashed, bougainvillea-brilliant cousin to Camogli. We’ll enjoy a yummy dinner before hopping a quick train back to our cozy little fishing village just in time to marvel at the crowds gathering on the beach for bonfires and fireworks (the best you'll ever experience!) ✨🎇✨

Day 4: Sunday, May 11th

Today is a VERY special day in Camogli...the annual Fish Festival of Saint Fortunato! The entire town will come alive for this annual event and you'll have the good fortune of being a part of all the festivities. We’ll meet at breakfast to discuss the options: fish fry, street market, beach, pool, shopping, hiking? It's bound to be a fun day whatever you decide!

As the festivities wind down, we’ll pack our bags and head south to Monterosso, one of the charming villages in the iconic Cinque Terre, or “Five Lands.” Upon arrival, we’ll check into our cozy hillside hotel, explore this picturesque town, wander its narrow streets and soak in the enchanting coastal vibe.

We’ll cap off the day with a delicious meal at a local trattoria, savoring authentic regional flavors. As night falls, you’ll settle in with memories of a day filled with celebration, adventure, and the magic of Italy.

Day 5: Monday, May 12th

Today, we’ll embark on a short train ride to the enchanting village of Manarola, one of the jewels of the Cinque Terre. With its pastel-colored buildings perched dramatically on the cliffs above the sparkling Ligurian Sea, this town is a feast for the senses.

Our day begins with a hands-on pesto-making class at the renowned Nessun Dorma. Guided by local experts, you’ll learn the art of creating this iconic Ligurian sauce using fresh, fragrant ingredients. Afterward, we’ll savor a delicious lunch, enjoying the fruits of our labor alongside stunning panoramic views of the sea and the village below.

The afternoon is yours to explore at your own pace. Choose to hike the scenic trails connecting the Cinque Terre villages, shop for unique souvenirs and local crafts, or simply wander the charming streets of Manarola.

We’ll return to our hotel in by train, having truly immersed ourselves in the heart of Ligurian culture and cuisine.

Day 6: Tuesday, May 13th

Today, we’ll set sail on a breathtaking cruise along the stunning Cinque Terre coastline. As we glide past the colorful cliffside villages and sparkling blue waters, you’ll enjoy an unforgettable experience complete with local wine, freshly grilled seafood, and lively music to set the tone for this magical day.

Our journey includes a stop in the enchanting town of Porto Venere, often referred to as the "sixth Cinque Terre village." Here, we’ll explore the ancient Church of St. Peter, a striking landmark perched atop a rocky promontory. Dating back to the 13th century, the church boasts Gothic and Romanesque architectural elements and offers panoramic views of the Ligurian Sea—perfect for capturing unforgettable photos.

After soaking in the charm and history of Porto Venere, we’ll continue our cruise before returning to Monterosso. Back at our lovely hotel, unwind with a nightcap under the stars and reflect on the day’s coastal adventures.

Day 7: Wednesday, May 14th

It’s time to move on to our next destination: Lucca! Encased in a circle of thick stone walls, Lucca is a small Medieval city that's home to hundreds of historical sites and churches.

After we check in and indulge in a filling lunch, we’ll start our exploration with a fascinating walking tour with our favorite local guide. Once we’ve covered the highlights in the center of town, we’ll take to the walls on bikes to see the sights from above and below (the tunnels are amazing!).

As twilight falls, the city comes alive with bustling cafes and restaurants, offering delectable Tuscan cuisine and local wines. 

The evening is yours to enjoy. Why not savor dinner in Piazza dell'Anfiteatro while being serenaded by street musicians? Afterward, take a leisurely stroll through Lucca's narrow, illuminated streets and soak in the city's enchanting beauty!

Day 8: Thursday, May 15th

Are you ready for an amazing cooking class? Today we’ll be preparing yellow, red, green and black pasta, 2 types of ravioli, 12 different sauces and the most delectable dessert you've ever tasted! 😋🤤

Once we've stuffed our bellies with pasta, we'll head back to our hotel where you'll have the rest of the afternoon to explore. Duck into one of the many churches, indulge in a little retail therapy or climb to the top of a historic tower.

Whatever you decide, make sure you’re ready for a fabulous night on the town. 

At 7 pm, we’ll walk to the Church of San Giovanni to enjoy “Puccini e la sua Lucca,” an exciting operatic performance of one of Lucca’s talented native sons. 

Afterwards, enjoy a leisurely stroll in town, grab dinner or just head straight for the best gelato in Italy. It’s okay to indulge…I declare that calories don’t count here! 🍨

Day 9: Friday, May 16th

After a leisurely morning in Monterosso, we’ll begin our scenic drive to Siena, offering the group one last chance to take in the sights of this charming town before we continue our journey. Our route will lead us through the rolling hills of Tuscany to our beautiful farmhouse overlooking Siena.

We'll check in, then head into Siena for a delicious lunch in the heart of the city. Afterward, our favorite local guide will meet us for a private walking tour through Siena’s winding streets, ending in the Siena Duomo, a stunning Gothic masterpiece known for its intricate details and grandeur.

Following the tour, you’ll have free time to explore Siena at your own pace. Wander the vibrant streets, shop for local treasures, or relax at one of the charming cafes.

As the day draws to a close, we’ll return to our farmhouse retreat, where you can unwind and enjoy the peaceful ambiance, with the twinkling lights of Siena in the distance.

Day 10: Saturday, May 17th

Today is a perfect blend of exploration, indulgence, and relaxation. Our journey begins with a scenic drive to Montalcino, a charming hilltop town renowned for its rich history and world-class wines. Explore the imposing fortress, which offers panoramic views of the surrounding countryside, and stroll through the quaint streets of this medieval gem.

Next, we’ll visit a renowned winery, where you’ll enjoy a guided tour, learn about the art of winemaking, and indulge in a tasting of their exquisite Brunello di Montalcino wines. A delightful Tuscan lunch will follow, featuring locally sourced ingredients paired with exceptional wines—a feast for the senses.

In the afternoon, we’ll make our way to San Giovanni Spa Rapolano for a well-deserved retreat into relaxation. Soak in the healing thermal pools, known for their rejuvenating properties, and let your cares melt away with a soothing massage.

As the day draws to a close, we’ll return to our peaceful farmhouse outside Siena, where you can unwind and reflect on a day filled with Tuscan treasures. Tomorrow, more adventures await!

Day 11: Sunday, May 18th

After a hearty breakfast, our driver will take us to Certaldo, where we’ll ride the funicular to Certaldo Alto, a picturesque medieval village perched high above the valley. Take a leisurely stroll through its cobblestone streets on a self-guided tour, soaking in the timeless atmosphere and rich heritage of this charming town.

Next, we’ll head to a remarkable female-owned winery, nestled on a hillside with breathtaking views of the iconic towers of San Gimignano. Here, we’ll indulge in a tasting of their exquisite organic wines, complemented by local cheeses, cured meats, and other Tuscan delights.

After lunch, we’ll visit the Town of Fine Towers, San Gimignano, famous for its medieval skyline. Wander the charming streets, admire the beautiful architecture, and shop for unique local treasures. Before we leave, we’ll treat ourselves to a delicious scoop from the world-renowned gelateria, known for its innovative and mouth-watering flavors.

On our way back to our Sienese farmhouse, we’ll stop in Monteriggioni, a small, walled town with a fascinating medieval history. Here, we’ll gather for our farewell dinner at a local restaurant, where you’ll savor the flavors of Tuscany one last time. As the sun sets over the rolling hills, reflecting on the beauty of the Tuscan landscape, we’ll toast to the unforgettable memories we’ve made together.

Day 12: Monday, May 19th

After another hearty farmhouse breakfast, our private driver will whisk us away to Florence, the cradle of the Renaissance. We’ll check into Villa Olmi, a luxurious retreat nestled just outside the city.

Once settled, we’ll head into the heart of Florence for lunch at Boccanegra, a beloved eatery known for its delicious Tuscan cuisine and inviting atmosphere. After we've had our fill, we’ll meet our private guide who will take us on an enchanting tour of Florence’s many wonders. Marvel at the grandeur of the Duomo, stroll across the historic Ponte Vecchio, and immerse yourself in the city’s unparalleled artistic and architectural heritage.

After the tour, enjoy free time to explore Florence at your own pace. Browse exquisite shops and boutiques, discover local artisan treasures, or simply wander the charming streets, soaking in the vibrant atmosphere.

Today is dedicated to immersing ourselves in the culture and artistry of Florence. Our day begins with a visit to the renowned Galleria dell’Accademia, where we’ll marvel at Michelangelo’s iconic masterpiece, David, and uncover the fascinating story behind its creation.

Next, you’ll have time to explore the lively Mercato Centrale, a vibrant hub of local flavors and craftsmanship. Wander through the bustling market, savor traditional Tuscan dishes, and shop for unique souvenirs to bring home a piece of Florence.

After enjoying the market, we’ll reunite for a delightful pizza and gelato-making class. Roll up your sleeves and learn the secrets behind these beloved Italian classics, and, of course, indulge in your culinary creations!

As evening falls, you can choose to stay in Florence and experience the city’s enchanting nightlife or return to Villa Olmi to unwind with a relaxing evening by the pool. Either way, don’t forget to pack your bags—tomorrow, we’re off to the magical city of Venice! 🧳💃🏼

Day 14: Wednesday, May 21st

Today we’ll bid farewell to Florence and board a train bound for Venice, a floating masterpiece of art, history, and romance. Upon arrival, we’ll check into our stunning canal-side hotel, where timeless Venetian charm and modern comforts await.

After settling in, you’ll have some free time to explore the surrounding neighborhood at your own pace. Stroll through the winding streets, cross over picturesque bridges, and take in the unique beauty of Venice.

As evening falls, we’ll gather for a delightful dinner at a nearby restaurant, savoring classic Venetian flavors in an intimate setting. To cap off the night, we’ll visit the iconic Caffè Florian, the oldest café in Italy, located in the heart of St. Mark’s Square. Enjoy a coffee or aperitif while basking in the historic ambiance and live music of this legendary spot.

Day 15: Thursday, May 22nd

Today, we delve into the rich history and enchanting beauty of Venice. Our morning begins with a guided tour of the magnificent St. Mark’s Basilica, a masterpiece of Byzantine architecture adorned with shimmering mosaics and intricate details.

Next, we’ll step into the intriguing past of Venetian politics and power with a “secret” tour of the Doge’s Palace. Explore hidden chambers, learn tales of intrigue, and walk across the iconic Bridge of Sighs—a true journey through the city’s storied history.

Afterward, we’ll enjoy a group lunch at a local restaurant, savoring delicious Venetian cuisine while sharing the day’s highlights. The afternoon offers free time to wander through the bustling market, shop for unique treasures, or capture stunning photos on one of Venice’s many picturesque bridges.

As the sun dips toward the horizon, we’ll experience Venice at its most magical with a serene gondola ride through the city’s canals. Gliding along the water as the golden light reflects off the historic buildings is an unforgettable way to close out the day.

We’ll return to our canal-side hotel in the evening, filled with memories of a day steeped in history, beauty, and Venetian charm.

Day 16: Friday, May 23rd

On our final full day in Venice we're off to explore the enchanting outer islands of the Venetian Lagoon. We’ll begin with a boat ride to Murano, famous worldwide for its exquisite glassmaking tradition. Here, we’ll visit a glassblowing workshop to watch master artisans at work, shaping molten glass into delicate and dazzling creations. Take time to explore Murano’s charming streets and perhaps pick up a unique keepsake to remember your journey.

Next, we’ll continue to the vibrant island of Burano, a photographer’s dream with its brightly colored houses lining the canals. Known for its intricate lace-making tradition, Burano offers the chance to discover this historic craft and meet the artisans who keep it alive. We'll wander the picturesque streets, enjoy the lively atmosphere and enjoy a delicious group lunch at a local restaurant while reflecting on the beauty of the day.

In the late afternoon, we’ll return to our hotel in Venice, where you can relax and soak in the magic of the city one last time. Spend the evening however you wish—perhaps an evening stroll by the canals, or simply savoring a quiet moment by the water as we prepare to say goodbye to this unforgettable destination.

Day 17: Saturday, May 24th

Our final morning in Venice offers a chance to soak in the city’s magic one last time. Take this time to enjoy a leisurely stroll along the canals, shop for last-minute treasures, or perhaps visit a museum to admire the city’s renowned art and history.

By midday, we’ll gather and board a train together, leaving the enchanting canals of Venice behind as we head to Milan. Upon arrival, we’ll check into a lovely hotel conveniently located near the Milan airport. This comfortable retreat is the perfect place to relax and prepare for your journey home.

Enjoy a quiet evening reflecting on the unforgettable memories made throughout this incredible adventure. Tomorrow, we’ll part ways with full hearts and stories to last a lifetime as you fly back to the US. ✈️💕

Day 18: Sunday, May 25th

Today is the day you start your journey back to the “real” world. We’ll gather at breakfast for our final farewells before we take the hotel transfer to the Milan airport.
